This Is What the Drop-Top Aston Martin Vantage Looks Like
Aston Martin launched its new Vantage nearly two years ago, and while it's introduced a manual version, there's been one variant that's been missing from the lineup: a convertible. Well, that's about to change, according to the company's Twitter.
This morning, Aston released a photo of the upcoming Vantage convertible, giving us our first official look at the drop-top version of the sports car:
Other than a release date of Spring 2020, the tweet doesn't tell us much. Unlike the last Vantage convertible, it looks like this new one will have fixed roll bars rather than pop-up units. We can safely assume the car will get the same 503-horsepower 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 sourced from Mercedes-AMG, sending power to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transaxle. Whether it'll get the manual option from the coupe has yet to be revealed.
If the Vantage drop-top drives nearly as well as the coupe, we're sure it'll be a hit—especially with no roof to block out that sweet AMG V-8 sound track.
